Michigan’s 2026-27 non-conference schedule was announced today, and it is built for a high-major test before Big Ten play.
The Wolverines will face at least six high-major opponents. The stretch starts with an opening-week game against UConn in Boston and includes Marquette, Villanova, Louisville, and a trip to the Players Era Sixteen in Las Vegas, where Michigan opens against Creighton on Nov. 24.
Here is the complete slate.
2026-27 Exhibition Games
- Sun., Oct. 11: Eastern Michigan (Ann Arbor)
- Fri., Oct. 16: Oregon State (Ann Arbor)
- Sun., Oct. 25: vs. Houston (Grand Rapids)
2026-27 Non-Conference Games
- Tues., Nov. 3: Oakland (Ann Arbor)
- Fri., Nov. 6: UConn (TD Garden, Boston)
- Weds., Nov. 11: Marquette (Ann Arbor)
- Sun., Nov. 15: William & Mary (Ann Arbor)
- Sat., Nov. 21: at Villanova (Xfinity Mobile Arena, Philadelphia)
Players Era Sixteen (T-Mobile Arena, Las Vegas)
- Nov. 24: Creighton (5:30 p.m. ET)
- Nov. 26: Miami or TCU
(3:30 p.m. ET if Michigan wins Game 1; 9 p.m. ET if Michigan loses Game 1) - Nov. 27: Gonzaga, Kansas State, Baylor, or Alabama
- Nov. 28 (if Michigan reaches the title game): Tennessee, Maryland, Iowa State, San Diego State, St. John’s, Oregon, Louisville, or Texas Tech
After Las Vegas
- Tues., Dec. 1: Mississippi Valley State (Ann Arbor) — if Michigan is not in the Players Era final
- Sat., Dec. 5: vs. Louisville (Little Caesars Arena, Detroit)
- Tues., Dec. 22: Detroit Mercy (Ann Arbor)
- Weds., Dec. 30: Toledo (Ann Arbor)
The résumé-builders are obvious: UConn in Boston, Marquette at home, Villanova on the road, Creighton in Las Vegas, and Louisville in Detroit. The home games against Oakland, William & Mary, Detroit Mercy, and Toledo give Michigan room to develop before the Big Ten grind starts.
