Five-star wide receiver Jett Harrison is already building his brand before ever stepping on campus in Columbus.
The 2028 Ohio State commit has signed an endorsement deal with New Balance, joining his older brother Marvin Harrison Jr. as a New Balance athlete. The announcement marks another high-profile offseason move for a current or future Buckeye wide receiver.
Jett Harrison Joins Brother Marvin Harrison Jr. with New Balance
Jett is the son of Pro Football Hall of Fame wide receiver Marvin Harrison and the younger brother of former Ohio State star Marvin Harrison Jr., who is entering his third NFL season with the Arizona Cardinals. Marvin Jr. is also a New Balance athlete, making this a family connection on the endorsement side as well as the football field.
The deal continues a recent trend of Ohio State receivers and skill players landing major apparel partnerships. Earlier this offseason, freshman wide receiver Chris Henry Jr. signed with Nike alongside running back Bo Jackson and cornerback Jermaine Matthews Jr.
Strong Sophomore Season Fuels Rising Profile
Harrison is coming off an impressive sophomore campaign in 2025. He recorded 51 receptions for 811 yards and 10 touchdowns, showing the production and playmaking ability that have made him one of the top prospects in the 2028 class.
He committed to Ohio State on July 1 following a pair of unofficial visits in June that included camps in Columbus. Assuming he signs on National Signing Day, his commitment will extend Ohio State’s streak of landing a five-star wide receiver to six consecutive recruiting classes.
Highest-Ranked Player in Ohio State’s 2028 Class
In the 247Sports Composite rankings, Harrison checks in as:
- The No. 4 player nationally
- The No. 2 wide receiver in the class
- The No. 1 player in the state of Pennsylvania
He currently ranks as the highest-rated prospect in Ohio State’s 2028 recruiting class. That group also includes five-star defensive lineman Jameer Whyce and four-star running back Elijah Newman-Hall, giving the Buckeyes a strong early foundation.
What the New Balance Deal Signals
Landing a major endorsement while still in high school underscores Harrison’s rising national profile. For a player with his pedigree, production, and recruiting ranking, partnerships like this are becoming more common among elite prospects.
It also reinforces Ohio State’s continued ability to attract and develop top-tier wide receiver talent. From Marvin Harrison Jr. to the current group and now Jett, the program has maintained a strong pipeline at the position.
Looking Ahead for Jett Harrison and Ohio State
Harrison still has two full high school seasons remaining before he arrives in Columbus. Continued production and development will only raise expectations for what he can eventually contribute as a Buckeye.
For now, the New Balance deal adds another layer to an already impressive early résumé. The five-star commit is following a familiar family path while carving out his own identity both on the field and off it.
